Kwale Content creators unite under new South Coast Association

KWALE County-Jan 11, 2026- Content creators from Kwale County and the wider South Coast region have come together to form the South Coast Content Creators Association, marking a major step towards unity and growth in the local digital entertainment industry.

More than 60 content creators attended the inaugural meeting, signaling strong support for the new association and a shared commitment to strengthening content creation across the South Coast.

The newly formed umbrella body aims to promote collaboration, professionalism and sustainable growth among digital creators, while creating opportunities for mentorship, partnerships and industry support.

During the meeting, members elected a leadership committee to steer the association’s activities. Juma Shibe was elected Chairperson, assisted by Mamalao Mamalao as Assistant Chairperson. Nyondo Mteule will serve as Secretary, with Sugar Mastory as Assistant Secretary. Hoka Juma was named Treasurer, while Bujra Mohamed was elected Organising Secretary, assisted by Abdulkarim Kuchengwa.

The association also appointed a team of advisers drawn from established figures in the creative space, including Digo TikToker, Beka Ruga, Peter Mrinzi, Boss Chunare and Liz.

Speaking during the gathering, organisers said the unity demonstrated by the turnout reflected a collective desire to build a strong, vibrant and influential content creation industry on the South Coast.

Members called for support and goodwill from stakeholders and the public as they work towards achieving the association’s goals.

The initiative is supported by Kombani Homes Limited, with Abubakar Mkumbuka Banzi acknowledged for backing the formation of the association.
