NAIROBI, Kenya-Dec’ 21, 2025-Kenya’s broadcasting community is mourning the loss of Amina Fakii, a Veteran Presenter whose voice and presence on the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (K.B.C) left an indelible mark on the nation’s media landscape.
For decades, Amina Fakii was a familiar figure to audiences across the country. Her eloquence, warmth, and professionalism made her one of the most respected presenters in K.B.C’s history.
She was celebrated not only for her mastery of the microphone but also for her ability to connect deeply with listeners, bringing news, culture, and conversation into Kenyan homes.
Her career spanned decades at the Voice of Kenya, now KBC Radio Taifa.
Fakii, a soothing voice in the KBC mid-morning show in the 90’s died on Sunday morning.
She was later laid to rest in Ngong, Nairobi under Islamic rituals after 4pm prayers
