MOMBASA, Kenya- Dec’ 20, 2025-About 20 nations are set to participate in the 12th edition of the Tong IL Moo Do Martial Arts International Championships in Mombasa, as the sport’s leadership intensifies efforts to secure inclusion in the Olympic Games.
Speaking during preparations at the Aga Khan Hall in Mvita Sub-County, the Tong IL Moo Do Federation in Kenya and Africa President, Master Clarence Mwakio, said the federation is committed to strengthening the sport while nurturing young talent both locally and across the continent.
Meanwhile, the global president of the federation, Grand Master Takamitsu Hoshiko, commended the collaboration among stakeholders in advancing the discipline.
His remarks were echoed by the founder of the sport, Great Grand Master Dr. Joon Ho Seuk, who praised the joint efforts to promote Tong IL Moo Do in Africa and worldwide.
