MOMBASA County—Jan 31, 2026—Mombasa residents have been urged to embrace unity and harmony as crucial drivers for the nation’s development.
Speaking during the inauguration of the Uthman Bin Affan Mosque at Serani Sports Complex in Mvita Constituency, Kenya’s Acting Chief Kadhi, Sheikh Sukyan Omar Hassan, emphasized that fostering cohesion among citizens is essential for securing the country’s future.
The call was echoed by Mombasa County Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir and Senator Mohammed Faki, both of whom stressed that collaboration and peaceful coexistence among residents are vital for advancing the county and the nation at large.
Meanwhile, Mvita Member of Parliament Mohammed Soud Machele urged young people to live by the principles of their faith, describing religious values as a foundation for personal growth and social contribution.
“The strength of our community lies in our unity,” Kadhi Hassan noted. “By embracing harmony, we secure not just our future, but that of the entire nation.”
