NAIROBI, Kenya — Jan 27, 2026—Pwani Oil Products Limited has launched a four-week in-mall consumer activation campaign for its Sawa skincare and family care range, targeting shoppers across major Nairobi malls as part of efforts to strengthen brand visibility and gather customer feedback.
The campaign, running from January 24 to February 15, 2026, is being hosted at Garden City Mall, Thika Road Mall, Junction Mall, Two Rivers Mall, Sarit Centre, Galleria Mall, The Hub and Greenspan Mall.
According to the company, the activations are aimed at giving shoppers direct experience with Sawa products, including Sawa Soap, Sawa Lotion and Sawa Petroleum Jelly, while collecting insights to guide product placement and availability in retail outlets.
During the activations, shoppers are taken through product demonstrations focused on hygiene, skincare and family care. Children participate in supervised hand-washing sessions using Sawa Soap, while women and mothers are engaged through demonstrations of Sawa Lotion and Petroleum Jelly for everyday skin care needs.
Pwani Oil said trained brand ambassadors are also collecting consumer feedback throughout the exercise to help the company better understand shopper preferences and demand trends.
Commenting on the initiative, Pwani Oil Commercial Director Rajul Malde said the in-mall activations are intended to allow consumers to interact with the products in a practical setting and build trust through everyday use.
Sawa products are manufactured at Pwani Oil’s facility in Kilifi County and are positioned as locally made skincare solutions developed for Kenyan households. The company noted that the range is designed to suit local lifestyles and climatic conditions.
The campaign comes amid increased competition in Kenya’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, where manufacturers are increasingly turning to experiential marketing and direct consumer engagement to drive sales and brand loyalty.
