The lone and decisive goal was scored by Bare in the 27th minute of the first half, sealing a hard-fought victory for Team 27 FC in an entertaining final.

Following the win, Team 27 FC walked away with KSh 60,000 and the championship trophy, while runners-up Mjambere FC received KSh 35,000 and a trophy after finishing second. Speaking to journalists after the match, Mjambere FC representative and tournament organizer Amriya Juma Boy expressed satisfaction with the level of talent displayed, as well as the discipline shown by players throughout the competition.

Amriya emphasized the need to establish a football talent development centre in Kisauni Constituency, noting that such a facility would help nurture and grow football talent among the youth. His sentiments were echoed by former Harambee Stars coach Mohammed Kheri, who said the proposed centre would help restore the glory of coastal football, which once dominated the national scene.

Meanwhile, Mombasa County Executive Committee Member for Blue Economy, Livestock and Agriculture, Ibrahim Khamis alias Babandiga, urged leaders to emulate Amriya’s initiative by supporting youth talent development. He noted that such efforts would keep young people away from drug abuse and criminal gangs.

In individual awards, Mjambere FC goalkeeper Abdallah won the Best Goalkeeper Award, while Moraya of G7 claimed the Top Scorer Award.

The Best Player of the Tournament award went to Josiah of Mjambere FC, while Ombati was named Best Young Player.
