LAGOS, Nigeria-Dec 31, 2025- Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived in Lagos ahead of the Future Africa Leaders Awards (FALA), a prestigious initiative that recognises and supports young Africans demonstrating exceptional leadership in education, youth empowerment, and mentorship.
Kenyatta, who will deliver the keynote address at the event, is also scheduled to announce the winner of the Star Prize, the awards’ highest recognition.
The former President was accompanied by former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka during the visit, highlighting the diplomatic and pan-African significance of the event.
The Future Africa Leaders Awards celebrate young Africans who have made a positive impact in their communities and inspire innovation, leadership, and social change across the continent. Uhuru’s participation underscores his continued engagement in youth empowerment initiatives and continental leadership development.
