NCBA’s LOOP offers up to 20% cashback to boost digital spending

NAIROBI, Kenya— Feb 12, 2026—NCBA Group’s fintech subsidiary, LOOP DFS, is offering customers up to 20 per cent cashback as it moves to drive transaction volumes and digital payments uptake during its ongoing LOOP Shopping Festival.

The campaign, which concludes on February 15, provides instant cashback of up to KSh 5,000 per transaction across more than 30 partner merchants spanning fuel, electronics, fashion, dining, groceries and mobile devices.

It is also targeting the valentine’s Day on Saturday February 14.

Among participating outlets are Shell, Quickmart, Hotpoint, Samsung, OPPO, Bata, Galitos, ArtCaffé, Pizza Inn and AutoExpress.

LOOP said the two-month campaign has recorded strong customer uptake, as consumers seek savings amid sustained cost-of-living pressures.

The cashback incentives are credited instantly through the LOOP app, positioning the platform as a competitive alternative in Kenya’s fast-growing digital payments space.

The move underscores intensifying competition among banks and fintech firms to lock in retail customers through loyalty programmes, merchant partnerships and rewards-based spending models.

NCBA has in recent years expanded LOOP as part of its broader digital banking strategy, targeting tech-savvy consumers with app-based payments, savings and credit solutions.

With cashback offers capped at KSh 5,000 per transaction, the promotion reflects an aggressive customer acquisition and retention push ahead of the first quarter close.
